FAQs
Who should get a facial?
Everyone! of course there are limits; medications and medical treatments can prevent you from being able to receive certain services
What kind of facial is good for me?
All facial services include a skin analysis, so that I can customize according to your skin type and concerns i.e. Acne, anti-aging, brightening, sensitive, and so on. Just leave the specifics to me, and book a service that fits the amount of time you wish to spend together.
Do you have Gentleman’s services?
All menu items can be for men, women, and teens. *age limits apply*
Should I shave the day of my facial (Gentlemen)?
Not if you don’t want to. If you do shave, just know that you may be a little sensitive during the facial, as shaving is a form of exfoliation.
What if I have a beard?
You can still receive a facial service if you have a beard, depending on the length, it can be included in most of the steps, except for and acids or active resurfacing agents. But don’t worry, we have techniques so you won’t miss out on a thing.
What are your age limits?
Makeup: no age limit
Facials: 13 years old and above
Waxing: 16 years old and above
*any client under 18 requires a parental consent*
What should I know before my facial service?
Do not get any outside facial waxing services done within the 2 days prior to your scheduled facial. If i don’t know where the wax was applied, I won’t know what areas to avoid with reactive products.
Stop using prescription retinoids (Retin-a, retinol) a week before your scheduled appointment
Don’t get your hair done. If you absolutely have to, I can tie up your hair and protect it from the steam, however it may result in not being able to bring products all the way to your hair line. Meaning some of your forehead will not get the same treatment as the rest of your face.
How often should I get a facial?
Every 4-6 weeks is a good rule of thumb. Of course this differs from person to person, as everyone's skin condition and type are different. By the end of your first service, we will discuss my treatment plan and recommendations for you (including frequency and duration).
What can I expect after my facial service?
Expect to be so happy with your skin that you just want to keep touching it. BUT DON'T. I get it, it’s all smooth and glowing, but give it a couple of hours. You just paid for these results, don’t undo it.
No Makeup! In an ideal world, I would recommend no makeup until at least 12 hours have passed. Of course life does not always allow this. Still its best to wait at least 1-2 hours before applying a full face of makeup. Give the finishing product time to absorb and penetrate. After all, that's what you paid for.
What products do you use?
Facials: Skin Fitness Therapy and Hydropeptide products
Makeup: I do not use one particular brand of makeup, as I feel that no makeup line is
completely comprehensive. Everything used in my kit has been tested personally by
myself and because I myself have extremely sensitive skin, I will not use any product
with harsh or irritating ingredients.
Can I bring my Pet?
As per our landlord; no pets are allowed in the building. The only exceptions are service animals for impaired individuals(This does NOT include emotional support animals) , and you must be able to provide documentation.
Can I bring my child with me if they are not getting a service?
No. Because of COVID19 we can only allow one guest at a time.
